The new helipad in Pelling doubles up as the ‘Mall’ of the hill-station and offers an eagle-eye view of the small town. It was barely 3-00 PM when we reached the helipad, and we saw fog coming up from the valleys. Soon, it engulfed the hill station completely and we were left with our best guesses on what lies a few feet ahead of us in the dense and cold fog.
The old helipad of Pelling gave way to a few hotels ; and a new helipad is constructed about a mile from the old spot. The tree-lined road to the new helipad offered a relief to our eyes when we came across a garden of flowers nearby.
Visited Pelling again 2 months later, in winter (Dec 2008). Weather was crisp & clear, and the Kanchenjunga range stood like gateway to a forbidden kingdom.
The sky was overcast on our way to Pelling. The road is lush green once you enter Sevoke.

A memorable trip with my friends Ashani & Rajdeep in October 2008. Rabdentse palace was the abode of the ‘Chogiyal’ (King) of Sikkim more than 200 years back. Now it lies in ruins, the vast gardens have been converted to a bird sanctuary.
I took this photo when the sun was about to set. The sky had turned a ‘divine’ golden and people started feeling nostalgic.

I am not a photographer, not even an amateur one. I am just an ordinary guy who has a digital camera and free time to spare. I don't know what qualifies as a good photo, and which photo fits the bill to be great. I have almost zero idea about the different techniques of photography.
All I know is to point and to shoot, what I like & when I like.
